Empower women and underserved communities through quality education , good health , economic resiliency and advocacy.
Kiota Global was founded in 2019 by Monique Tshibola. For two years, Monique was fighting the negative inner thoughts that were preventing her from moving to the next step. In this case, thoughts that were preventing her from moving to the next step, she learned how to be compassionate with herself, accept and appreciate herself and see the potential in herself. Furthermore, she asked herself if she would be able to lead a whole company? She has a one year and half-child with another one on the way and thought to herself she can’t do this. It was only in February 2020 that she stopped giving excuses and changed the negative inner thoughts to positive ones. She realized that she was her own limit and should go after her dream. From her own experience, she wanted to encourage women to dream big and go after whatever gives them satisfaction or whatever they are passionate about. Monique is coming from a tribe where men are allowed to marry more than one wife, so she knows the importance of education in a woman’s life. When a woman is educated, she can shift her mindset and be apt to change. She also experienced how women that were self-reliant and self-sufficient were more likely to be treated better and with respect by their partners. Therefore, economic empowerment is the key to earning more respect and power to decision-making at all levels of society for women.
